He was born on September 2, 1949 in the city of Kharkiv. He graduated from Kharkiv Secondary School №45 in 1966 and entered the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics at the Faculty of Computer Science. In 1971 he graduated from the institute with a degree in "Electronic Computers" and qualified as a mathematical engineer. In 1971 he worked as an engineer in the Design Bureau of Instrument Making (HARTRON). From 1971 to 1974 he studied at the graduate school of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1977 he defended his dissertation at the Computing Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Moscow) on "Some questions of substantiation and numerical implementation of the structural-variational method (method of R-functions) for solving boundary value problems" and received the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. specialty 01.01.07 - computational mathematics. From 1977 he worked at the Department of Fundamentals of Higher Mathematics at the Kharkiv Aviation Institute. In the period 1982-1986 he worked as a professor and taught higher mathematics and mathematical methods of economics at the University. Eduardo Mondlane (Republic of Mozambique).

From 1986 to 2001 worked as an associate professor of economic cybernetics at the National Aerospace University. ME Zhukovsky (KHAI). From 2001 to 2004 he studied for a doctorate at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering. A.M. Podgorny National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 2008 he defended his dissertation at the Institute of Cybernetics. V.M. Glushkova of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the topic "Mathematical modeling of physical processes in complex domains using atomic functions" and received the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences in the specialty 01.05.02 - mathematical modeling and computational methods.

From 2006 to 2012 he was the head of the Department of Applied Mathematics of Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University. From 2012 to 2016 he was a professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics, and from 2016 to the present he is a professor at the Department of Informatics and Applied Mathematics.
