Climate Change Resilient Natural Resource Management Network 2025-2029, programme, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

The thematic areas of the international mobility program with integrated research practices include large-scale chernozem agricultural lands and strategies for the conservation of major natural resources in eastern Ukraine. The training programs for academic and administrative staff aim to strengthen future cooperation between Ukrainian and German universities that are members of the consortium.

The two main areas of activity — climate change adaptation measures for natural resource conservation and enhancing overall societal resilience — are to be further developed through practice-oriented collaboration, including with non-university research institutions.

In the long term, student mobility will serve as a foundation for expanded cooperation in teaching and research.

Project Goal:
To develop an educational course module on climate-adapted land use systems.

Project Objectives:

  • Development of a curricular specialization “Climate Resilience Strategies for Natural Resources.”
  • Design of an academic mobility program for conducting field research in German and Ukrainian landscapes.
  • Establishment of an alumni network.
  • Training of administrative staff in internationalization and crisis management.
  • Professional development of academic staff for international teaching.
  • Preparation of the foundation for the creation of a joint master’s program with double degree.
